Possible Dance Class
Do you fancy a bit of Strictly at the Hall? Would you like to be taught the skills of Salsa or learn how to Cha Cha Cha or do the waltz? We have an experienced teacher from Appleby who is keen to start a class on Wednesday afternoons at Warcop Parish Hall (probably at 2pm,) but we need to have committed members to join the class to make it viable. She will adapt her teaching to your ability, mobility and interests. Above all it will be a a social occasion with refreshments included. It will be a fun session, probably an hour long, price to be worked out.
If you think you would like to try this new class, even if it’s initially for a trial period, please let me know a.s.a.p. either by email keetleyjd@sky.com or on 41390. If we can get about 10 people, the class could start late September or early October.
Our next quiz night takes place at the Hall on Friday 20th September at 7:30pm. We hope you can make it. Here’s a poster with all the details you’ll need:
You may be aware that a community minibus is kept at the Parish Hall car park. This allows the regular run on Friday mornings to Great Asby and Appleby, (plus Silverband if required.) We really need more passengers on this service so please do get in touch about the Rural Wheels scheme. We have 4 volunteer drivers and we can pick you up and drop you off almost at your front door!
In addition to this Friday service, the minibus is available to hire for local schools and organisations. Again, we would like to see this sort of hire expand. Attached is a leaflet with more information on if you are interested, including contact details:
Warcop Parish Hall will be hosting a live music night featuring local band Thieving Magpies, on Saturday 12th October from 7:30pm. Full details can be found on the attached poster:

Please come along to our regular monthly Coffee Morning this Saturday, 10th August 10:00 – 11:30am. £1.50 for tea/coffee and biscuits, plus bacon rolls and veggie alternatives to purchase. Excellent food and service guaranteed! Most of all it’s a chance to meet up with people and have a good old chat!
